About me

Ivan Fedotov, 2025

Hi,

I’m Ivan Fedotov.

In this blog, I analyze emerging technologies, fast-growing markets, investment trends, and both private and public companies.

Sometimes I look at opportunities as an investor searching for strong returns.

Sometimes — as an entrepreneur looking for scalable business ideas.

In both roles, I follow a few core principles:

  • Numbers matter more than opinions. Good decisions are built on data, logic, and economics — not stories or promises.
  • Buying a stock means buying a business. I focus on the product, customers, team, and the company’s ability to generate sustainable profits.
  • Customers pay the bills. I want to know who pays, for what, and why they will keep paying in the future.
  • Everything starts with the market. A growing market lifts weak companies. A shrinking one destroys even strong players.
  • Margin is the foundation of growth. If a product is in demand and scales with high margins, the business has a future.
  • Teams create value. In the end, people are the ones who make money.
  • Profit matters. Growth without a clear path to profitability is just a hypothesis. A business must be able to earn.
  • Valuation determines outcomes. A great business at the wrong price is a bad investment. I look for asymmetric upside.
  • Long term, value wins. Hype fades, but cash flows remain.

I rely on open sources, distrust press releases, and cross-check data whenever possible.

My goal is to uncover market insights that are not obvious to the broader audience.

Follow the blog if you want to find them together with me.
